Socket-tite is tightened putting extreme gripping force on your worst valve nuts and brass plugs. Socket-TITE allows for the best chance at getting water off before digging up streets and boulevards for valve and curb-box repairs.
Socket-tite allows you to grip valve nuts underground
Water main valves are several feet below ground limiting access through the 6" diameter valve box. The Socket-tite is compact slipping onto valve nuts and tightened using the custom horseshoe wrench.
Patented clamping design
Socket-tite clamps onto rounded off corroded valve nuts and brass curbox plugs. We have taken the 2" valve nut socket-tite to 1500 ft/lbs with out slipping on a rounded nut not operable by a standard Tube Key. The pentagon Socket is equally impressive clamping on rounded off brass plugs.
